Client Critiques

I was hunting for a replacement unit for my 1996 Bayliner boat. The factory unit stopped working and required to be upgraded anyway. I was going to decide to purchase the "mechless" version of this unit, but decided to spend the added couple of dollars to have the CD player as nicely.
The radio has fantastic reception utilizing the built in antenna on the boat. No static or fading. Operates as expected.
I employed a couple of diverse SD cards to test it. I filled up a 2GB and a 1GB card, both formatted to FAT32. Popped them in and hit the shuffle button. No problems, both played just fine. 1 card I set up with directories and was able to skip from 1 directory to a different.
CD Player worked fine, even though I will possibly by no means use it.
Sound was better than expected in a boat at normal volume. Even though when volume was high, it did get a lot of distortion. That may perhaps possibly be the fault of the speakers as they are 14 years old and have been exposed to the elements. I will be installing new speakers soon and will update this evaluation if it sounds any improved.
UPDATE
Added new speakers. Sounds significantly greater. The old speakers had been shot. Volume on this unit is nonetheless not superb, but in a boat it is alot more than adequate.

the radio is an exceptional pay for. it is tough to unearth a usb radio in the market worth its price tag, and this 1 was well created and sounds superb
